Mediterranean cuisine
Mediterranean cooking in Altea: fine produce, the sea and simplicity
Fish and shellfish from the bay, vegetables from the Alicante huerta, olive oil and recipes that need no disguise. That's how we understand cooking at La Tablería.

Few things, done well
Mediterranean cooking is not about technique, it is about respect: a pescaíto frito fried till crisp, a few mussels steamed open with lemon, a gamba a la plancha with coarse salt. When the produce is good, the recipe is short.
From the garden come the salads: the classic mixed salad, the goat's cheese with walnuts and honey, the chicken. From the farmyard, our homemade croquetas and meatballs. And from the sea, everything else: our rice dishes and the seafood tapas.
To drink: sangría, local wines and classic cocktails at 9 €: mojito, gin and tonic, piña colada. (Wine list and product provenance to be confirmed with the house.)
